This was not drawn to look pretty. This was drawn to vent & to hopefully talk to those who can relate.

There are some days when I take pride in being who I am... if I had to place myself in any stereotype, it would be a "geek". I hate labels in general but let's just say I am for the sake of argument... even though my only label is "me". Anyways, I've been very active doing a lot of things on the internet the past 6-7 years. I made anime/video game music videos, I have been drawing some ridiculous stuff here on deviantArt, I have sang songs from video games, anime & Vocaloid, reviewed animes and eventually made a move to recording myself play video games & commentate while doing it (Let's Plays).

I've met quite a few people from all sorts of places in the "geek" universe. Quite a few were friendly & were like me: searching for people who would understand them & have similar interests, a few became some of my closest friends, a few I have had long distance relationships with... it goes on. Then out of nowhere, I found the "bad eggs" which I never thought would exist. I have met more of those "bad eggs" than I can actually count, especially as of recent. Just kind of tired of it but hey, I guess you meet bitches/assholes everywhere you go... especially on the internet where they can say whatever they want because most of them are cowards who won't even have the balls to say something in person to you if you encountered them.

Last night was the worst. Met this "Avengers" fan on Tumblr who I've followed for a while & I was telling her that I was going to wait for it to come out on DVD. Her response: Then why the fuck are you watching my blog?!

-.- Can I be around the open-minded "geeks" please...?

I think it comes with dealing with people's passions, geeks/ fans/ nerds have these fetishes, tracks of their lives that they dedicate to understanding every single facet of an item to the point of where they think that it's -normal- to be so incredibly dedicated to something that all other sense takes the wayside. 'how can you -not- know that Drizzt Do'urden wears boxers to bed!' This decidedly -does not- give someone the right to treat another person without respect like that. I know I'm guilty of having that kind of reaction but it's usually in fun. :( it's terrible to outcast someone, nerds / geeks / fans should know this in their darkest of hearts best because they, themselves have been shunned... or at least should have had to deal with such things if it wasn't becoming such popular culture.

anyhow... enough soapboxing ^^; we're all here for you!
